Drawing doodles or portraits of my immediate family and friends was a way of life for me as a kid. My passion for all the colors of nature and the beauty around me sparked an interest in the arts. I was raised in New York City, and the concrete jungle was the exhibition booth of my work. Teachers, mentors, and artists at Washington Irving High School taught me various art styles. My mentors showed me how to translate New York City viewpoints throughout the decades.
I exhibited my paintings in famous venues like Gramercy Park's "National Arts Club." A Gouache painting of my family helped me receive the gold key award of the city in the arts. I later studied graphic arts at Parsons School of Design, a division of The New School for Social Research. Although I did not pursue a career in the arts, I continued to create art because I am passionate about it. My artwork was lost in a significant water storage accident when I was 27, leaving me distraught, traumatized, and unable to paint again.
My thirst for painting reignited at the height of the COVID19 pandemic. When I began to produce art to express my feelings, it led to various visions of hope, hope that had disappeared long ago. Since then, I've created over 60 pieces, the majority of which have sold and found new homes in various locations across the world. I currently reside in the province of Ontario, Canada, where I pursue my artistic interests. Thank you for accompanying me on my artistic journey as I share my thoughts and feelings via my works of art.
